Getting Started
If you are considering therapy but you're not sure whether or not it's for you, I invite you to call me for a free consultation. You can either email me at sandy.kilada@gmail.com or call me at (540)358-0336. In a brief phone conversation, I will gather some basic information and we can discuss any practical concerns or preferences you may have. We will then schedule an initial consultation to explore what you'd like to focus on and I can tell you a little bit about how I work. The information you share with me will be kept confidential.
Fees
My services are covered by most insurance companies as an out-of-network provider. I'll be glad to provide you with an itemized bill on a monthly basis to submit to your insurance provider, but I will ask you to pay me directly. For additional help on getting reimbursement please visit: Fair and Accurate Insurance Reimbursement for Psychotherapy.
Benefits of an Out of Network Provider:
The benefit of working with an out-of network provider is that your counseling is not limited by the diagnosis, treatment plan, or session limits that health insurance companies dictate. Insurance companies often limit the number of sessions and type of therapy provided. By paying out of pocket, I can offer you the confidentiality, flexibility, and control of your mental health record allowed by law. Since the records are exempt from insurance reporting and random compliance audits, our work is off record. Payment is accepted at the time of our scheduled appointment by credit card, check, or cash.
Please contact me if you have any questions about fees, insurance, or confidentiality concerns.
